California Socialite Sentenced to 15 Years to Life for Murder of Two Boys

Rebecca Grossman Found Guilty of Killing Brothers in 2020 Hit-and-Run

Rebecca Grossman, a wealthy California socialite, has been sentenced to 15 years to life in prison for the murders of two young boys in 2020. A Los Angeles County jury found Grossman guilty on all five charges, including murder, in the deaths of 11-year-old Mark Iskander and 8-year-old Jacob Iskander.

The incident occurred in Calabasas, California, on September 29, 2020. Prosecutors said that Grossman was driving her Mercedes-Benz under the influence of alcohol when she struck the two boys, who were riding their bicycles. Mark Iskander died at the scene, while Jacob Iskander succumbed to his injuries several days later.

Grossman's lawyers have filed a motion for a new trial, seeking to overturn the murder conviction. They argue that the prosecution did not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Grossman was driving under the influence at the time of the crash.

Grossman is the co-founder of the Grossman Burn Center Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports burn victims. She is also the wife of a prominent Los Angeles burn doctor.
