Bucks Outlast Timberwolves in Post-All-Star Return

Antetokounmpo Shines with 33 Points and 13 Rebounds

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Milwaukee Bucks to a 112-107 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves in their first game after the All-Star break.

Antetokounmpo, the reigning NBA MVP, scored 33 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, while Anthony Edwards paced the Timberwolves with 26 points and nine assists. The Bucks shot 45.7% from the field, while the Timberwolves shot just 41.5%.

Bucks Surge After Break

The Bucks came out strong after the break, opening up a 10-point lead in the first half. The Timberwolves fought back to tie the game at 55 in the third quarter, but the Bucks regained control in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Timberwolves 27-21.

In addition to Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday added 21 points for the Bucks, while Khris Middleton contributed 18 points. Karl-Anthony Towns scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Timberwolves, while D'Angelo Russell added 17 points.

Tough Test for Timberwolves

The loss was a tough one for the Timberwolves, who have now lost three of their last four games. The Bucks, meanwhile, improved to 41-17 on the season and remain in contention for the Eastern Conference title.

Upcoming Schedule

The Bucks will next face the Indiana Pacers on Friday, February 10th, while the Timberwolves will travel to face the Memphis Grizzlies on the same night.
